  • Essential Skills Academy offers one the best basketball instructional
    programs for players in the Delaware and Boston Area.

  • All of our training sessions are small groups, position specific
    workouts, designed to help each and every athlete perform to their
    highest level.

  • The staff at the Essential Skills Academy are highly skilled instructors,
    that have all played the game at either the collegiate, or professional
    level, and have coaching experience.

  • Most importantly, they posses great character, have a high level of
    eagerness, and thoroughly enjoy working with middle school and
    high school student athletes to help better their future.

Coach Claude Pritchard helped direct one of the nations premier AAU Boys Basketball Programs
for 17-years, the Boston AmateurBasketball Club (BABC). The BABC has captured
10 National AAU Championships.
Coach Pritchard along with the BABC Founder and Head Coach Leo Papile, has produced a bevy
of talented players from the Massachusetts area. BABC Alumni participate at all levels of
competitive basketball, College D-I / D-II / D-III, NBA, ABA, NBDL and Overseas.  
Coach Pritchard also adds an international element, as he coached the 2004 Boston Hurricanes
to a National American Chinese Basketball Association (NACBA) National Title.
Coach Pritchard has now started his own AAU basketball program; Team Boston Elite ,USSSA
2006 National Champions and is the tournament supervisor and event consultant for the
Bayball Classic Invitational,one of  the biggest high  school boys basketball
Christmas tournaments in the country.
Coach Pritchard also ads a teaching element to his resume, he has developed the Essential Skills
Academy Basketball program which helps high school boys and girls through out the Northeast.
Coach Pritchard has also coached the Roxbury Titans to 10 BNBL city wide Divisional
Championships.
